Watch Beveridge Go PA#1 In The 1600m At Butler

It's hard to not see Noah Beveridge as a man on a mission.

The Butler senior was second at XC state in AAA in the fall and then placed second in the mile at indoor states this past winter. He wants a state title. He already went 9:19.87 (currently PA#2) in the 3,200 meters this spring at last week's TSTCA Outdoor Championships at West Mifflin.

On Friday afternoon in front of his home crowd, Beveridge took to the 1,600 meters at the Butler Invitational. He gradually pulled away from a talented field and closed hard to win the race in 4:12.58. That was good enough for a new PA#1 and a PR for him. It's also much faster than the 4:16.01 he ran in the full mile at late February's indoor state meet.

Beveridge told us after the race that he's been confident in his training. He'll be chasing another quick 3,200 at the Baldwin Invitational in a few weeks. For now, he's in a good spot.
