This veteran distance runner blew away the competition at the Boston University Mini-Meet on Dec. 31 in Massachusetts, running a US #1 time of 8:32.71 in the 3000m -- overall, he was fifth in the race to four post-graduate runners of various ages. On top of his leading 3000, Hoyne-Grosvenor also has a US #6 time of 2:33.49 in the 1000m, which he accomplished at the Vermont Indoor Track Association's meet at the University of Vermont on Dec. 18.
