Vermont's Top 3 Indoor Performers to Watch This Winter

3. Owen Pelletier, Orford Rivendell Academy/Bradford Oxbow, junior

The junior set the state's leading indoor mark in the long jump with a leap of 20 feet, 10.5 inches on Dec. 23 at the Dartmouth HS Session #2 meet. Pelletier's story, though, is interesting in that he bides his time between his actual high school, Orford Rivendell Academy, and Bradford Oxbow, based on a lack of resources on the former school's involvement with track and field. It hasn't made much of a difference, though. Pelletier still remains one of the more talented leapers in the state.
