Vermont high school track and field athletes posted personal records across multiple events during the week of May 18.
Riley Little (Mt. Mansfield) ran 2:00.41 in the 800 meters at the Colchester HS TF Meet 2, improving from his previous best of 2:11.33 set in May 2026. The senior finished fifth of 27 competitors and ranks 14th in Vermont and sixth among seniors.
Josephine Ives (Middlebury Union) clocked 5:04.33 in the 1500 meters at the Essex HS NVAC 9th/10th Grade Championship, bettering her previous mark of 5:14.42 from May 2026. The freshman placed second of 22 runners and sits 17th statewide and fourth among freshmen.
Piper Pauly (Woodstock Union) ran 13.32 in the 100 meters at the SVL-A Championships, improving from 13.45. She finished third of 22 competitors and ranks 22nd in the state. Pauly also set a personal record in the 200 meters with 27.79, improving from 28.36.
Hudson Root (BFA-St. Albans) ran 4:19.00 in the 1500 meters at Colchester HS TF Meet 2, improving from 4:28.09. The junior placed seventh of 23 runners and ranks 24th statewide and 12th among juniors. Root also ran a personal best 2:09.38 in the 800 meters, improving from 2:12.53.
Dallas SultonEL (Colchester) threw 46-4.25 in the shot put at Colchester HS TF Meet 2, improving from 43-1.25 set in May 2026. The senior finished second of 18 throwers and ranks third in Vermont and second among seniors. SultonEL also set personal records in the discus (116-8.25, previous 112-1.75) and javelin (86-7.25, previous 79-7.75).
Charlotte Crum (Champlain Valley Union) ran 9:53.44 in the 3000 meters at Colchester HS TF Meet 2, improving from 10:08.11. The senior placed second of eight runners and ranks second statewide and second among seniors.
Calvin Mitchell (Rutland) ran 9:18.57 in the 3000 meters at the SVL-A Championships, improving from 9:32.61 set in May 2026. The junior finished third of 15 runners and ranks 14th in Vermont and seventh among juniors.
