Plunkett makes Full recovery

 

 

 

WILLISTON — The fastest high school cross country runner in Vermont was slowed to a crawl and in serious pain during the offseason.Admittedly, Malcom Plunkett was worried after suffering a stress fracture in the arch of his foot.“I was in a cast and on crutches for a month. I couldn’t walk, and even lying in bed was painful,” Plunkett said. “I kept reading online about people who had the same injury and never ran again. That was a stressful time.”So it’s easy to understand why the South Burlington High School senior was all smiles as he burst in front of a pack of teammates during an up-tempo training session Wednesday at Catamount Outdoor Family Center.
